Exhibition Reflection

The exhibition was hard at the beginning, we couldn't come up with a central idea at first then we thought of "children experience loss and danger as a result of war". The whole process was very hard but we made it through. The last night when all the parents came was a big success because every person loved it they said it was awesome. I think at our board every ones favorite thing was the map. The pre-k to 2 grade loved Jakubs story about the child. The exhibition was awesome and  a huge success.

Shadow Plays

The shadow plays were great all the groups acted with expression and the groups that were with Mrs.J knew their lines by heart. Our play wasn't ready because some people forgot to say their lines or they didn't make sense. My favorite play was Hansel and Gretel and Rapunzel because it was funny when Richard told Simone no we want cookies little old man.

Visitors

Visitors from other schools and the IBO came to see if our school was good.  A visitor came during math and watched us solve a problem on the board. During recess he told us why we got it wrong and how to get it right. Today also one visitor came to our class after P.E and asked us a question. They also looked at our portfolios and said they were very good

Mentors

Our mentors, Mr Moyniham ,Mrs Divna ,Mrs Vicky and Ms Sonja help us alot. Our first meeting went great, our mentors helped us and we all got a job to do.

Rotations

During Mr Paul's rotation we worked on our sites and made a page for mentors. During Mr Moran's rotation we filled out a sheet that we have to show our parents. At Mrs Js rotation we made a survey about traveling. The most fun was making the surveys with Mrs J.

Sl Conferences

The student conferences went great. I showed my mom all the work I did during the year. My mom was proud of my book projects. Mrs.J told my mom I was a lot less silly in class and I was doing much better.

Assembly

The assembly was really fun. I really liked the kindergarten songs but my brothers didn't do anything. The Mozart to Mozilla song or twinkle little star remix was good and funny. It was a great assembly maybe even my favorite .

Report Card

I liked my report card results. My grades were good some weren't the best. Mostly I had "ME 's" and "EE's" everything was great my parents were happy with my grades.

What I Learned This Week

This week we learned about homonyms.
In math we learned how to times fractions.
In P.E we went on the climbing wall.
In art we learned about still life.
We learned who is in our exhibition groups.
We learned about the exhibition. 
In languages we learned about literature and wrote a story.

What I learned This Week

This week I learned what a pie in math, in PYP we did some fun experiments with coins and paper clips. I also learned how to drive better in GTA 4. I also learned how to play call of duty better and get into multiplayer.

Advertisment

On January 20th 5a watched some of 5bs ads.My favorite ad was cleanies soap because it was funny and it had a star wars character in it, there was the judge who was kind of funny he gave the first soap a 1 and cleanies soap a 10. The one I didn't really like is fizzy roar because there commercial wasn't original and Amber was only in the song.

McCann Erickson Advertising Agency reflection

Both 5th grade classes went to the Mc Cann Erickson advertising agency. There we learned about advetising, we learned about the creative team in a slide show, we also watched a few commercials. They showed us a few advertising techniques and told us the most important thing in an advertisment, the main idea. It was a really fun field trip, even the bus rides.
